The mission of the Placer High School Music Boosters is to support students in the Placer High School music program. The music program includes Concert, Marching, Pep, and Jazz Bands, Drumline, and Choir programs. Our wonderful, enthusiastic students liven up life not only at Placer High School’s rallies and games, but also in our community, with their free concerts and appearances in parades and other events. They are part of what makes Auburn special.
PHS Music Boosters supports our music students in many ways. Besides volunteering at events, Music Boosters pays for a variety of expenses, including instrument purchase and repair, uniforms/apparel for band and choir, purchase of new music, contest entry fees, transportation to and hospitality at events, scholarships for graduating seniors and Drum Major Camp attendees, and stipends for the choir accompanist and Drumline coach. The Music Boosters provide the majority of non-salary program costs and their financial support is essential to maintaining and growing the quality, size, and range of Placer’s music program activities.
PHS Music Boosters is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Donations are tax-deductible and very appreciated. Our non-profit tax ID number is 81-0657130. All of our donors are acknowledged at the annual crab feed and in subsequent concert programs. Donors also receive a letter of appreciation from PHS Music Boosters that provides our tax information and the amount (or subject) of their donation.
